These shimenawa are made by Kamiko Sei in Seiyo City, a rice-growing area of ​​Ehime Prefecture, from pesticide-free rice.
All processes, from planting to harvesting, drying and twisting, are done by hand.
This straw craft of a cute turtle with big, round eyes has a beautifully woven shell, and Kamiko's thoughts are poured into every detail, from the carefully woven straw to the ears of rice.
Kamiko's straw crafts, which he creates one by one with sincerity and gratitude every day, have strength and warmth.
