The lifestyle that people blend in the landscape

In the field of “Niwa” (gardens), Landscipe has been created things rooted in nature for about 45 years. What we describe with “ニハ” (Niwa) is, although there are some other theories, the origin of “庭“ (gardens). The word “Ni-Wa” consists of two words, “Ni” meaning earth and “Wa” meaning place. It was a place for performing rituals, hunting, and farming. This word is closely aligned with what we want to express.
Since ancient times, Japan has held the view that humans are part of nature. While we do not often aware of it on our daily basis, living in harmony with the climate has become ingrained in Japanese customs, passed down through generations. Japan’s environment keeps changing with the advance of global-warming. But we have searched for “Niwa” where people can live in accordance with the modern climate.

It is a place that comes to life only through human interactions – a way of life where trees, humans, architecture, and everything else blend into one scenery. “Humans are part of nature” …rather than confining this idea to mere rhetoric, we aim to pass it on as an art of life. We also aspire to preserve and cultivate the culture of gardens. It’s our deepest wish to share our feelings with others.
