Flower vase by Junko Shimomura
Flower vase by Junko Shimomura
<Flower vase>
This vase is called "Shell."
Its shape resembles a shell or a plant seed, and looks as if it is enveloping something precious.
Shimomura creates his pottery using only natural materials and does not use glazes.
Beeswax is also used to seal the water, so if you leave water in it for a few days, water lines may appear on the surface.
It has a strong presence and can be viewed as an object.
