NIWA of Kurabuchi

Expansive houses stand there at certain intervals along the road and share the same time. An aqueduct runs along the pathway and flows into a time-honored common reservoir used for domestic purposes. I think a garden, or rather a Niwa comes out of a topos like this. We laid a stone bridge over the crystal-clear stream as a lane. You see fluvial stepping stones follow it and a spindle-tree hedge defines the border. As for the front yard under the large existing cherry tree, we raised the ground level so that residents can feel the energy of earth. The client carefully refurbished the house from his grandfather’s generationand now enjoys a rural life after retirement. This garden is not totally untouched. We retouched it to create actively the mental scenery.
