Niwa of Nanpo

The site is located in a residential area of Tokyo, where many houses are crammed together. Taking advantage of the enclosed location, the wall of a neighboring house was used as a backdrop to pursue and conceptualize the view the client wanted.

the pathway is open both to gardener and wind, which undulates to activate the movement of water in the soil. Combining ancient Japanese evergreens and palm trees, a new landscape was created which would suit Japan’s subtropicalization.

Embracing client’s wishes, climate, environment, and everything else, so that no two landscape should be the same. There is no fixed style, and we are in no position to impose our own colors to clients. Even so, we will continue effecting solutions that only we can provide.
