NIWA of Kawagiri -Living in a garden-

The stone deck is a floating floor which is nearly level with the first floor. Coexisting with the ground, it functions as an outdoor room. Therefore, even if inside the room you can feel a sense of unity with the garden and a spatial spread.
This deck is supported by the short pile foundation which prevents the soil compression by the tread pressure. So trees can make roots sufficiently under this deck. Once removing one piece of deck stone, you can start planting there. Under hot and humid climates lumber gets damaged soon, but stone decks wouldn’t cause such anxiety. Additional refurbishments are easy to do, and these stones can be utilized in another way after dismantled.Outside the wall, there is a noisy downtown.
Once going through the Japanese style gate, you would enjoy a meal under trees of the terraced garden which incorporates a barbecue table.
